We have for example had a theme on the Cathar, - a religious movement, that flourished here in the 11 – 12th century. They were vigorously persecuted by the Roman-Catholic church which brought them to seek refuge and build fortresses in the highest and most inaccessible mountains where we still today can visit the fascinating ruins. Romans passed by, and the last 1000 years has left the landscape full of well preserved fortresses, chateau, churches and cloisters that tell a dramatic story of the rivalry for this beautiful land.

Wine and food the French way
France is known for its good kitchen. Would a cultural/gourmet week tempt you, or perhaps brush up your French in an intensive weeks’ course. We can also organise excursions to the many wine chateaux in the area or hosts a festive evening in the studio or on the terrace.
